FU License Plate: Originally reserved for government vehicles, some FU license plates were opened to business vehicles at the end of 2023 due to the depletion of FV license plate resources. Its nature is the same as FV.

Hong Kong Stay Limit

FV License Plate: The maximum cumulative stay in Hong Kong per year is 180 days.

FU License Plate: Divided into two categories:

Former Government Vehicles: Maximum stay of 360 days (suitable for high-frequency official business).

Newly Added Business Vehicles: Maximum stay adjusted to 180 days (same as FV).
