The application for a Guangdong-Hong Kong dual license plate mainly targets two types of license plates: FV/FU (Mainland license plates for Hong Kong) and Yue Z (Hong Kong license plates for Guangdong).

Different types of applications require different documents and have different review conditions. Generally, applications are submitted by companies, but individuals can also apply, although the requirements are higher.
